Maison Bridal
Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Maison Bridal, a trading name of The Wedding Business Hub Limited (Company No. 11928418), a company incorporated in England and Wales (“we”, “us”, “our”), and any wedding professional or wedding planner who engages with our network or services (“you”, “your”).
By engaging with Maison Bridal, you agree to these Terms.
1. Our Network
Maison Bridal operates a private wedding planner representation network connecting selected wedding photographers, videographers, filmmakers and other approved wedding professionals with destination wedding planners.
We are not a public marketplace or open directory. Participation is selective and subject to invitation, application and/or approval.
Our role is to facilitate curated introductions, professional representation and coordination between planners, couples and selected wedding professionals.
2. Our Services
For Wedding Planners
We provide curated recommendations of selected wedding professionals based on factors including style, location, budget, availability and the requirements of each wedding brief.
We may present a small number of suitable professionals for consideration and coordinate the selection and assignment process.
For Wedding Professionals
We provide selected professionals with consideration for suitable wedding assignments, representation to planners, presentation opportunities and coordination throughout the assignment process.
Participation in the network does not guarantee any specific number of assignments, introductions, bookings, revenue or other commercial results.
3. Assignment Selection and Confirmation
For each wedding assignment, Maison Bridal may present a small number of suitable professionals to the planner and couple for consideration.
The planner and couple are responsible for making their selection and may identify two preferred studios.
Where two preferred studios are identified, Maison Bridal may contact both studios simultaneously and provide them with an equal opportunity to proceed.
The assignment is secured exclusively to the studio that completes the required confirmation process first.
Once the assignment is secured, the other preferred studio is released and Maison Bridal formally confirms the assignment to the planner and proceeds with coordinating the booking call with the relevant planner and couple.
An assignment is not considered secured solely because a professional has been shortlisted or identified as a preferred studio.
4. Assignment Confirmation and Fees
Once a preferred studio confirms its availability and accepts the assignment, Maison Bridal may issue a Mutual Agreement and £200 Assignment Confirmation invoice.
The £200 Assignment Confirmation is payable at the assignment confirmation stage and before the booking call is arranged.
The £200 Assignment Confirmation is credited in full against the agreed 10% Success Fee for the relevant assignment. It is not an additional charge on top of the Success Fee.
The standard Success Fee is 10% of the agreed wedding service value and becomes payable following completion of the wedding.
The £200 Assignment Confirmation does not constitute a separate commission or additional Success Fee.
Where an assignment does not result in a confirmed booking through no fault of the professional, the treatment of the £200 Assignment Confirmation will be governed by the applicable Mutual Agreement and Assignment Confirmation.
5. Client Booking and Payment
The wedding booking is made directly between the couple and the selected wedding professional.
Maison Bridal does not collect, hold or process the couple’s booking payment on behalf of the professional.
The professional remains responsible for providing the couple with their own booking agreement, payment terms, cancellation terms and other applicable contractual conditions.
Unless otherwise agreed between the couple and the professional, the couple pays the agreed 50% booking deposit directly to the professional following the booking call, with the remaining balance payable directly to the professional in accordance with the professional’s payment terms.
Maison Bridal is not responsible for enforcing or administering the payment terms agreed between the couple and the professional.
6. Responsibilities
Wedding professionals are responsible for:
- providing accurate information about their services, pricing, availability and capabilities;
- maintaining the availability communicated to Maison Bridal;
- responding promptly to introductions, enquiries and assignment opportunities;
- attending agreed calls and meetings;
- communicating professionally with planners and couples; and
- fulfilling the commitments they accept through the network.
Wedding planners are responsible for:
- providing accurate and sufficiently detailed wedding briefs;
- communicating relevant requirements, preferences and selection decisions;
- providing reasonable notice of changes where possible; and
- maintaining professional standards when working with recommended professionals.
Both parties are responsible for fulfilling commitments they have accepted through the network.
7. Booking Attribution
A booking is considered confirmed when the couple has entered into a booking agreement with the professional and the agreed deposit or full payment has been received.
A booking is attributable to Maison Bridal where the initial introduction, assignment opportunity or booking relationship originated through our recommendation, representation or assignment process.
Where a professional receives a booking, enquiry or further assignment from a planner or couple first introduced through Maison Bridal, that relationship may remain attributable to Maison Bridal even where the subsequent communication or booking takes place directly between the parties.
Maison Bridal may request reasonable information or documentation where necessary to verify the origin, value or status of a booking.
8. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential information relating to Maison Bridal, its planners, couples, assignments, pricing, commission arrangements, business relationships and internal processes confidential.
Confidential information must not be disclosed to third parties or used for purposes unrelated to the relevant relationship or assignment without prior written consent, except where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to fulfil the relevant wedding assignment.
The private and selective nature of the Maison Bridal network must be respected at all times.
9. Network Participation and Termination
Participation in Maison Bridal is selective and does not create an entitlement to continued participation.
Maison Bridal reserves the right to decline, suspend or remove a professional or planner where their standards, communication, responsiveness, conduct, availability, reliability or other circumstances are not aligned with the requirements of the network.
Either party may end its ongoing relationship with 7 days’ written notice.
Termination does not cancel or release any obligations relating to assignments, bookings, introductions or fees that arose before termination.
Any Success Fee arising from a booking generated through Maison Bridal before termination remains payable in accordance with these Terms and any applicable written agreement.
10. Limitation of Liability
Maison Bridal does not guarantee any specific assignments, introductions, bookings, revenue, income or commercial results.
Maison Bridal acts as a network and representation intermediary and does not become a party to the wedding contract between the couple and the selected professional unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.
The professional remains responsible for the services they provide to the couple, including the quality, delivery, availability, pricing and contractual performance of those services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maison Bridal shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income, profits, business opportunities, goodwill or anticipated bookings.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, network structure or legal requirements.
Where appropriate, we may notify existing participants of material changes.
Continued engagement with Maison Bridal following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, subject to any applicable legal requirements.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any applicable mandatory legal provisions.
13. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any applicable Mutual Agreement, Assignment Confirmation, written assignment terms and other written terms expressly agreed between the parties, form the agreement governing your participation in the Maison Bridal network and services.
Where a specific written agreement contains terms that conflict with these Terms, the specific written agreement will take precedence for the relevant assignment or matter.
